Within the Household

PityHeart mewed loudly as she raced down the hall as fast as her little legs could carry her, trying to escape the humans coming after her, bottle in hands. Pity turned and skidded on the floor and bolted into a room, humans missing her by millimetres. She saw the bed and darted under it, humans muttering and swearing lightly. PityHeart backed into the furthest corner from the humans. There were some uses for being small. The bed was too low to the ground for any of the other cats to come under and drag her out. PityHeart suddenly saw hands underneath the bed, hooking onto the bottom and then suddenly the bed was lifted and one human pounced on her, grabbing her and PityHeart hissed in surprise. She clawed at their hand but they didn't seem to notice. Suddenly she bit the human's hand and it yelped in surprise and let her go. She fell to the ground, landing on all fours and she ran out the room and into another. She ran n and out of furniture, darting this way and that when suddenly she ran straight into another cat. She toppled backwards and fell on her back and she stared up at the cat before her. It was the tom-cat, James who always teased and tormented her. She tried to scrambled away but he was too quick. he pounced upon her and picked her up by the back of the neck and padded back to the humans. they took her out of his jaws and patted his head. PityHeart struggled in their grip but they had firm hold. They sat on the couch in the living room and then opened her mouth. Te kitten tried to bite down but the top of a bottle was shoved in her tiny mouth and she tried to squirm away she couldn't. They squeezed the bottle and foul tasting milk rolled on her tiny tongue and into her throat. She coughed as they just put more and more in her mouth and it rolled down her throat and went down the wrong way. As she coughed, trying to get air the humans pulled the bottle away and set her on the ground instantly. PityHeart eventually coughed the milk out of her airway and gasped for air. She looked up at the humans, her purple gaze harsh and unforgving. She then walked off and the let her go. PityHeart walked into a small room which they had set up for her. Scratching posts, a cat tree, a little bed for her and toys everywhere. PityHeart leapt onto the cat tree and she climbed her way to the top, paying on one of the bed sections. She curled up but as she saw other cats looking in on her Pity crawled into one of the hidey holes and curled up there, where the world was shut off from her adn she was safe. Pity Heart purred softly as she thought about being back outside. Free to go where ever she wanted to.
Suddenly James came in, stuck his head inside the hidey hole and dragged PityHeart out and dropped her on the ground. She mewed in shock and surprise and then stood up and hissed at James. "Leave, now, midget, and I won't hurt you. This isn't your home. It's mine!"James hissed viciously and PityHeart reeled away from him, bounding up the cat tree and into a hideyhole, clawing onto the carpet as James stuck his head inside and tried to drag her out.
