Depressed and Freaky.

Sophie felt tears streak down her flushed cheeks as she sat in Drake's stall. She cast her crimson red eyes upon the ebony stallion and scratched his chin gently as he lowered his head to nudge her shoulder comfortingly. Hopefully, her parents were going to buy her some contacts soon, she couldn't keep letting this get to her so easily, but it did. She was an emotional wreck. The day she was born, instead of her eye color being blue or brown, it turned out to be a gorgeous amber and by the age of 3, it had developed into a dangerous-looking, crimson red. Everyone thought she was evil or part of some dark force. At the stables and school, she was insulted and rumors had always been spread about her, things like: Sophie's mother is an alien and her dad is a vampire! Or, Sophie, how about you go get some contacts, and thats what she had alwasy dreamt of. Sophie had wanted some beautiful, aqua colored contacts. So beautiful and mysterious that everyone would want to be her friend for the beauty she carried, but her red eyes would always haunt her, even if her eyes were temporarily blue. Running a hand through her dark hair, she glanced out the stable door to see Jessyka, the richest, snottiest girl at the stables snicker in towards Sophie and Drake. Tears started streaming down her cheeks again like an endless waterfall.

Drake nuzzled Sophie's hair gently and nicker soothingly. He didn't understand why Sophie got so depressed. Through his eyes, she was unique and beautiful. They are just jealous, He thought and flattened his ears defensively at Jessyka as she past with a snicker. Drake whinnied loudly and reared, towering above the frightened girl, clipping her shoulder with his hoof sharply. Jessyka squealed in pain and stumbled backwards, clutching her arm, tears running down her pale cheeks. "You stupid horse!" The girl screeched his his face and reached for the whip in her boot, threatening to whip him until the manager of the stable came along and calmed her down. Drake snorted and backed up, beginning his session of comforting nuzzles on Sophie again.
