can have horses but you HAVE to have people]


Khalil Zukor stood in his small ring enclosure, looking at all the people coming. It was a horse riding camp where they all stayed for a month. seeing it was holidays it didn't matter. And it was quite cheap too. the people chooses one horse to look after that month and they can't change and no one can have the same horse.
Khalil snorted softly and pawed the ground, the sun shining off his beautiful coat.

Cassy was tied to a fence, near the gate where all the people were coming in and she watched them, hoping one would give her some attention

Eskimo stood in his stall, poking his head over the stall door and he nickered to all the people.

Dr. Ritter was being lead over near where the people were gathering. A stable hand had come down to his paddock to fetch him...whoever chose him had a lot of grooming to do because he dirty!

Missy Blues threw her head around as someone tried to get her halter on. She stepped back and pinned her ears. she had always hated this stable hand!

Conformaco stood in his stall, half asleep, not wanting anything to do with this.

Fiona stood in the open area, watching the people. she didn't need to be tied up, lead around or be put in a stall she'd just stay where she was until she was called.

Ranger Rick whinnied to everyone as they walked through the gate. he was tied to the other side and was looking happy and alive.

Sparky stood in his paddock and sighed heavily. he wasn't being used for this unless someone bought him... they had to sell him. and he was only $150

Silver Gold stood in her stall, ears pinned as everyone gathered around. she snorted and pawed the ground ruefully

Cookie laid down in his stall, watching his stall door to see if anyone wanted him

Spot galloped around his paddock, tossing his head around.

Warrior Princess stood in her stall with a sigh. she wouldn't get any attention now...who would look after her? after all she couldn't look after herself she was only a couple weeks old..

Johny stood in his stall, which was near where everyone gathered and he watched the people. one person darted passed his stall and he shied back, crashing into the back wall with a grunt and a moan..

Melody entered River Creek Stables with a broad smile, her long blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail. She had chosen Silver Gold for the month. When she had done so, the registrator asked why. Melody knew of Silver Gold's history of bad temper, but Melody also had a history of bad temper. She also knew that the beautiful palomino mare had a lot to offer, and the adrenaline junky in her wanted to be at one with the that horse. She looked into Silver Gold's stall, and saw the mare pinning her ears at all of them. She smiled, it wasn't going to be easy, she knew, but she so wanted to bond with this mare.
"Hey there sweetheart," she whispered. She looked softly at the mare in an unintimidating manner yet not showing weakness. She then turned her attention to the coaches and brushed some dirt off her black and red jodhpurs.

Silver Gold looked at Melody and she snorted, pinning her ears tighter and she snapped at her with a fierce glare. she shook her mane, flicked her tail and neighed stubbornly.

Julia smiled as she walked up towards the stables. She had decided to stick with Missy Blues for the month. she saw the stable hand trying to force the halter on the mare and she shook her head and walked up to them, snatching the halter she calmed the mare and slipped the halter on, clipped the lead and walked out the stall"that's how it's done"she said triumphantly to the stable hand who shot her a glare

Tammy walked through the gate and looked around. where was Ranger Rick? she then saw him and a huge smile lit up her face and she ran over to him. she had started riding here a while ago and had only ever been riding Rick. so it was only common sense to pick him.

Shaylene walked around the stables until she found Dr Ritter and she smiled, patting him.

Georgia gasped as she saw what happened to Johny and she unlocked his stall door and walked in, calming him down. she couldn't have him hurting himself especially seeing as she was riding him for the month.

Pheobie walked over to the ring where Khalil Zukor was and she reached in and patted him with a gleeful smile.

Bronty stood still as she watched everyone coming in, waiting to see if anyone was going to ride her for the month.

Jet pricked his head, raising his well built head and rolled on the dirt filled paddock, getting his black coat covering in light brown dirt

Pure stood in her stall, half asleep

Blade stood in his paddock and as a kid darted past his paddock he pinned his ears, rearing with a shrill, frightened neigh

Darkest Kiss stood in her stall and as she heard the shrill, frightened neigh, she became alert, just noticing everyone now.

Melody sighed, then leaned on Silver Gold's stall door.
"Now look here missy, I'm not going to hurt you," she said gently. She stretched her hand out towards the mares muzzle, alert incase she had to wrench it back if Silver Gold tried to bite. She was showing the mare trust, and hoped that this would influence the mare to realise she wasn't like the others, she didn't expect to ride Silver Gold, she wanted Silver Gold to let her rider her. She didn't think that anyone had tried this approach with the palomino before, it was daunting the way the halflinger pinned her ears and rolled her eyes, but Melody's heart ached for her.

Silver Gold snorted again, lifting her head high and back so Melody couldn't reach her. Her ears were still tightly pinned and she bared her teeth.

Melody frowned and folded her arms, looking at the mare in the eyes. She reached into her pocket and presented a sugar cube, wich she held out into the stable. Maybe the mare liked treats? She had brought plenty for her. She was wondering now whether her holiday would be as wonderful as she'd planned, considering how difficult Silver Gold was being on their first meeting. "Come on beautiful, take the sugar."

as Melody reached into her pockets Silver Gold pricked her ears curiously and her eyes brightened as she saw the sugar cube. She relaxed slightly and lowered her head. She wasn't sure about Melody but she wanted the treat.

Melody's features softened and she smiled gently. Outstretching her arm to let the halflinger reach the treat. "There you are girl," she murmered, eyes soft and trusting. She gently stroked the mares muzzle while she was getting the sugar cube, wary incase Silver Gold threw her head back. She had more sugar cubes in her pocket and was determined to repeat the process until the mare accepted her.

Silver Gold ate the sugar cube in a dainty manner and she jumped in alarm as Melody touched her and she took a step back, lowering her ears again slightly. but not in anger more in alarm and fright.

"Sorry Silver Gold, easy there girl," Melody soothed. Her voice was soft and comforting and she now held out another sugar cube. "Come on, I've got another treat for you." She contemplated entering the stall, but decided to let Silver Gold get to know her from the gate first. She didn't want to startle the mare again.

Silver Gold snorted softly then rlaxed slightly. She took another step forward, stretching her neck towards Melody's hand and she ate the sugar then nibbled on Melody's figertips, asking for more.

Melody smiled. She fed another sugar cube to the mare, and once again stroked her velvety muzzle. "Easy there girl," she said as her fingertips felt the warmth in her golden fur. She stroked confidently once, waiting to see a reaction before repeating.

Silver Gold pricked her ears as Melody gave her another but her ears flicked back as she touched her but she didn't strike at her. Silver was more worried and frightened that Melody would hurt her..

Melody saw the flicker of uncertainty cross the mares stunning features. She was frightened! Melody reassured Silver Gold, stroking her softly, caringly. She entered the stall and produced another sugar cube this time stroking the mares neck gently, and she hoped the Halflinger would understand.

Silver watched as Melody entered her stall and she snorted softly, stepping back but as Melody showed another treat, she pricked her ears, reaching for it. As Melody stroked her neck, Silver stepped away, jerking her head up.

"Easy there girl," Melody whispered, holding the sugar cube closer. She took half a step toward the mare, making sure the treat came before her touch. She was determined to prove herself to Silver Gold, and earn her trust.

Silver Gold watched as Melody offered her another treat and she nickered softly and after a while Gold reached towards it but then nudged it off of Melody's hand, pricking her ears Gold then nudged Melody's hand gently then she turned her head to look at Melody, still a little worried and cautious but she took the chance and nuzzled Melody's shoulder

Anthony walked into the barn, the smell of hay and horses inhaled strongly through his nose. He walked up the wooden stairs to a small office, he could faintly see his own reflection through the window, tousled chocolate hair, hazel eyes. The boy ran a hand through his hair, shaking out some settled raindrops. He told the office lady he would like to be assigned to Blade for the month and she did not question him about it, just handed him a small slip of paper with a number on it. His stall number. Anthony followed the directions and said a short, blond boy cut out infront of him and dart past a stable, a distressed neigh echoing through the hall. He glanced at the number on the stall and noticed it was Blade's stall. From what he had gathered, the gelding was an excited, jumpy stallion, but luckily he had the patience. The boy took a few more slow steps and leaned over the stall door, peeking into the dark stable. "Hey, boy," He murmured gently, quietly unlatching the lock on the door and walking in, his left arm extended as he took tentative steps.

Blade snorted, pawing the ground as he watched the boy intently. His ears flicked back and forth, not sure whether to let the boy near him or not. But after staring at Anthony for a while he decided on the first and he pricked his ears, but held his head high, being stubborn.

Anthony took another step forward and tilted his head at the stubborn horse and reached into the back pocket of his pants and pulled out a fresh slice of apple and held it outstretched to the horse, taking another step forward. He outstretched his other hand and gently placed it on the gelding's neck and stroked it gently, trying to earn his trust, or a little of it at least.

Blade, still very cautious lowered his head at the sight of the apple slice and he sniffed it and ate it. Then he nibbled on Anthony's fingers for more

Anthony chuckled as at the gelding's appetite for apples. He shoved his hand in his pocket again and pulled out another slice of apple and offered it to him again. The boy held his hand under his muzzle but leaned to the side and glanced over his sturdy body. Anthony smiled, he was a gorgeous looking horse and he looked like he needed a little exercise, but he wasn't going to go that far yet.

Melody smiled, and stroked the mare softly. "There's a girl, Silver Gold," she said. She gently trailed her fingers through the halflinger's flaxen mane and down her golden coat.

Blaze ate the nexty slice and he raised his head with pricked ears and watched Anthony closely and nickered to him.



Silver Gold snorted softly as Melody ran her hand down her body but she then relaxed under Melody's touch and rested her muzzle on Melody's shoulder. Then she nuzzled her.

Anthony gently scratched the Azteca's nose and spotted a grooming set in the corner of the large, wooden stable. He took a few quiet steps back, straw crunching lightly under his feet, as he moved towards the box. The boy crouched down and noticed the name 'Blade' written on the box and opened it, taking out a dandy brush. Anthony walked over to the horse and gently started to groom his chocolate coat while murmuring soothingly to him.
