other: he had been handed in because they were moving and couldn't have him at the house. Azack is a tall dog who needs alot of attention. He can get into alot of trouble and is very active. Needs a very big back yard and constant walks.

Jesse sat in her cage, facing away from everyone. She whined softly and yelped every time a man tried to touch her. She stood up, her tail going inbetween her back legs and she backed into the corner, whining louder..

Zebby barked happily as everyone walked past, running in circles, trying to catch their attention. He walked up to the front of the cage and stood on his back legs, his two front paws resting on the wrie of the cage. His tongue lolled out to one side and his tail waged furiously, excited.

Mimi yawned and looked around the cage. She hadn't been here long and no one seemed to pay her any attention amongst the other smaller, cuter puppies. She laid down, rolling onto her back and closing her yeyes, dreaming of being somewhere where she could run freely.

Azack stood in his cage which was a whole lot bigger then the others. He towards over all the other dogs and the children who came to look at him. Standing on his back legs he was easily bigger then a grown man and that intimidated alot of people but he didn't really care..

Max pined along Jocey and tried to scratch away the wires that seperated them. Jocey's sleepy, doeful eyes watched Max with something of defeat glimmering in their usual loving sparkle's place. Jocey had always been weaker than Max, but he'd always been sure she'd make it through anything, as logn as he was by her side. And now they were seperated. That worried Max dreadfully and he whimpered even more, until some small, round faced human boy pressed his face against the barbed wire, gazing at Max with wide blue eyes.
"It's a puppy mummy!" He squealed, making Max jump.
"Yes honey, but we're only gettign one that won't drop hair all over the carpet, or daddy will cough, remember." Came the bored voice of his mother. Max cocked his head at the boy, wondering what the straneg noises he was makign meant. The boy sighed and pulled away, looking around at other cages.

Jocey lay down her head on her arms, she felt tired today, really tired. Her back hurt, her head hurt and even worse, her brother was getting checked out by a human. She could almost feel the black cloud closing in. Instead of doting on that worrying thought, she lookign around. One dog was cowering in the corner, seemed scared of the humans. Jocey knew a dog on the streets who'd been hit by humans, so she didn't blame the dog.
"You could always just bite them." She thought out loud, though she'd never be able to, maybe that other dog could, it was smallish, but had sharp looking teeth. Then again, if it was like the dog on the streets, it would be to mentally, and physically scared to ever face down a human.

Jesse looked at Jocey but said nothing. She stayed where she was, whining.

Zebby saw the boy and he barked playfully to him. He got down from leaning on the cage wire and he ran back and forth through the cage.


Azack noticed one of the dog handlers coming into his cage and he stood where he was. They put a lead on him and led him out of the cage. He knew what thy were doing. He wasn't seeing a human for adoption they were going to put him to sleep. He had been in the dog pound for over 3 months and dogs usually only stay for 2 before they are put to sleep. Azack planted his feet to the ground and stayed where he was. The dog handler tried to pull him put Azack pulled back, growling softly..


Mimi watched Azack and she whined. Azack had always been gentle to her. She barked angrily, standing up, pushing against the cage's door.

Personality: Sammy is a caring, hard working girl and is always trying her best to take care of her granddad. She has been a little depressed over the last couple of months. Sammy is trying to keep her granddad happy and is going to the pound to buy him some dogs.

Sammy walked into the pound, the sounds of barking and yipping fillied her ears from the excited dogs. She wasn't sure how many dogs she was going to get her granddad or what sort, but she knew that she was going to get more than 2. Looking around, her eyes rested on a dog that was refusing go and put down. Sammy's eyes narrowed sorrowfully and she walked over to the man and the dog, "Excuse me, how much would this dog be?" She asked, gesturing to Azack. Sammy looked around also, her eyes drifting to the 2 twin pups. They were irresistibly gorgeous. She wasn't sure which ones to get and how many. All she knew at the moment was she was going to get Azack.

the dog handler looked at Sammy and said"well seeing that he's about to be put to sleep i guess you came have him for $150"he said with a grunt as he tugged on Azack's lead.

Azack growled and pulled back harshly, jerking the man backwards.

Zebby looked over at Sammy and he barked at her, wanting attention

Jesse saw the girl and she perked up, standing up she barked softly.

Mimi watched Sammy and then she growled at the doghandler.

Jocey Watched one of the other dogs being pulled away and shuddered, this place had a dark feel to it and she knew that there was no way they were makign him go anywhere nice. the cowering dog stood up and was barking as a girl entered. Why, jocey wondered. Forcing her tired limbs to stand up, Jocey pressed her face against the cage to look at the girl. She was talkign to the man dragging away the dog. Jocey got the feelign she was a good person, not a bad human, from the tone of her voice. Exhastion finally got the better of her limbs and jocey collaspsed, panting quietly.

Max was also watching the girl, barking excitedly because her sister was standing up for her, somethign which indicated she liked her. But when his sister collaspsed max yelped and tried more desperatly to get into her cage. she wouldn't be able to do this without him, he had to get into her. again he rocketed his body force against the cage, pining, but jocey just watched him, even more tired lookign than before. this weird wire was somethign he wasn't used to. HE took a quick rest then set off again, the metal rattleing.

Sammy pulled out her checkbook and a pen. She looked around, "I'll take these four and the twin pups," She said, pointing to the two that sat in seperate cages by themselves. "How much would that be?" Sammy asked and arched an eyebrow, crouching down to scratch fondly behind Azack's ears. She giggled softly and rose, brushing the fur from her hands and clothes, not that she cared. Sammy looked back at the pound dude and waited.

"$1200"the man said after calculating. He glared at Azack. The had always been intmidated by the great dane's size and that intimidation grew to hated towards the dog..

Azack barked as Sammy petted him, thankful to her because now he wouldn't be put down.

Mimi looked at Sammy with expectant eyes.

Zebby yapped happily as he listened.. Zebby may be energetic but he actually very good around young kids and elders.

Jesse watched Sammy, tail wagging from side to side slightly

Sammy nodded and gave Azack a small pat with a smile, then scribbed down $50 extra. "Okay, I want all 6 dogs and a collar and a leash for each of them, here is the check, go prepare them for me," She ordered and winked at Azack with a small chuckle.

the man grumbled something under his breath, taking the check. He then tied Azack to a nearby pole and he stalked off... a few minutes later he came with different collars and matching leads. Azack got a flamed collar and lead, Zebby got a green collar and lead, Mimi got a white pattern collar and lead and Jesse got a red collar and red lead, Jocey got a black collar with pink flowers and Max got a black collar

Jocey didn't bother struggling when the collar was on, but she wondered what was happening. She'd never worn a collar and It felt odd, kinda tight but not so she couldn't breathe. She looked at max and she was taken out of the cage. She made a high pitched bark but stopped when Max was taken out as well, with a collar on. She was then clipped onto a lead and set down. She wobbled a bit but stood still.

Max yipped excitedly, he was now free of the metal and next to his sister. He licked her ear and then looked at Sammy gratefully, because he got the feeling she had freed him. He bounded up to her and wagged his tail, grinning a cheeky puppy smile.

Sammy grabbed all six leads, three in each hand. She knew that guiding these dogs would be pretty easy since most of them were smaller dogs - except for two, Jesse and Azack. Sammy shrugged and started heading outside, expecting them to keep up since she was walking at quite a slow pace.

Jocey followed Sammy, licking max back then focusing on walking straight. One paw infront of the other, she recited mentally.

Max smiled and trotted after his sister,glad to be back on the street, the smells all familiar now. He could smell a hot dog stand somehwre down cherry may Lane, the tempting smells of freshly baked sausages waftign down to his nose. His mouth waters and he lifted his head in that direction, inhaling

Jesse stayed beside Sammy gratefully, happy to be away from the cages and with a girl..

Azack barked and stayed beside Jesse, acting like a big brother..

Zebby ran infront yet because he was so small it didn't do anything

Mimi barked and leapt ahead, despite being a puppy she still dragged Sammy after her

Max chases after Zebby and mimi, pullign his elad taught and yipping. He looked back at his sister to encourage her to.

Jocey smiled and speeded up a little, but didn't run, she just padded alongside Jesse and Sammy and Azack.

With all these dogs strength combined, Sammy could've easily tripped. She halted and fished for the keys to her car and pullled them out, unlocking the back door. "Now, all of you get in there and behave while I drive," Sammy chuckled and picked up some of the puppies that were unable to jump up themselves. She shut the door after them and walked around to the drivers side, climbing in.

Azack and Jesse jumped in and surprisingly Zebby managed to jump up...
Mimi knew she could but she couldn't be bothered so she let Smmy lift her up..

Azack grunted as so much room was taken up and he jumped into the front passenger seat, letting the others have more room.

Sammy started driving smoothly, chuckling quietly to herself as Azack jumped into the passenger seat. She had to admit, she actually liked this big dog. Sammy yawned, wondering what her father would think and also hoping they didn't do their business in the car..

Azack barked softly and he looked back Jesse and licked her cheek. He then looked out the window, enjoying the scenery

Zebby yapped as Mimi tackled him and then watched as Mimi fell over the side as the car went over a bump.

Mimi yelped softly as she fell off the seats but she jumped back up.

Jesse let her tongue loll out and she licked Azack on his cheek as he did.

Max was sitting happily against the window. He stood up on the door and his paw pushed down the window button, rolling it down. He sat back down and poked his nose out, yappign happily as the wind rushed against his face.

Jocey rolled her eyes at her brother.
"You'll get your nose clipped off if you sit out like that." She told him, lying down and closing her eyes, enjoyign the ride.
