Lost And Melody's Escape.
Lost smiled as they entered the new land, away from the hunters and all other danger that had happened. He sighed, every place they had gone to had caused trouble so he hoped the streak wouldn't continue on. He looked back at Melody and smiled widely. He looked forward once more and examined the place around him, The trees were thick and tall and the grass was scattered along with the small rocks and sticks. There was a small stream rushing through the ground, it barely noticeable.
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
Melody walked into the valley after Lost, wondering what was bothering him. He seemed to be slightly distracted, but Melody decided not to ask about him. Scanning the area, she thought about the past incidents with Lost. She felt like a jinx, causing all that trouble, risking their lives. Sighing, Melody pushed that thought to the back of her head.
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
Lost halted and stood at her side. "Glad we went this way." He said looking at her with a smile, he had a feeling things would turn here...But in a good way.
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
Melosy stopped in her tracks and glanced back at the tobiano stallion, shooting him back a warm and sweet grin. "So am I," she commented, then turned away and gazed at the stream. "Come on, go wash that blood off." she added, walking forward towards the stream. She lifted her hoof off the ground and into the lake, feeling the soothin water run up her hock.
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
Lost looked at the dry blood on his legs, neck, and his muzzle. He walked towards the stream and stuck on of his hooves in, the water was cooling and helped calm the pain. He put in his others hooves then lowered his muzzle, the blood washing off and leaving the marks almost unnoticeable....Almost. He sighed, knowing there wasn't really a way to wash off his neck unless he rolled, but there was little stones on the bottom of the water that may hurt.
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
Melody looked at Lost then back at the water. She stepped out of the water and saw that her leg had more or less been cleaned up. Water was dripping onto the ground from her leg. Melody dipped her muzzle into the water and rubbed it lightly onto Lost's neck.
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
Lost smiled then groomed her. He felt a rain drop fall onto his shoulder, then another on his muzzle. He raised his head and looked into the sky, little raindrops landing on his neck and head. He tossed his mane then looked back at Melody as the rain picked up, it moving from a light sprinkle to a shower.
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
Melody chuckled as the raindrops poured onto them. She looked up at Lost as she got totally drenched. She grinned and trotted around playfully in the puddles of water. Then, she walked into the stream and stomped her hoof, making a light splash. She dipped her muzzle into the water and threw her head up.
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
Lost grinned then pranced after her. His coat was as wet as the puddles forming quickly, almost filling every space of grass and dirt. He nickered happily then threw up his heels playfully, he made sure he done it more careful for next time as he landed and hurt his back legs. He followed her to the stream, now quite large, and jumped into the water, making a large splash.
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
Melody tossed her head and water was shot in all directions. She looked at Lost and neighed delightedly. She paced in the water, then stopped and let out a sneeze. She stood there for a while, then started to chuckle. The current started to get stronger as Melody shook her body, the rain pouring down heavily.
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
Lost reared playfully then pawed at the ground. He made his way out of the stream, almost a river now. He looked around, water flicking in all directions.
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
Melody sneezed again, this time much louder. She watched Lost as the stallion moved out of the water while her mane fell over her eyes. She walked slowly towards Lost, fighting against the current to get out of the water. Rain drops fell onto her body in addition to the tide which pulled her back.
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
Lost turned then saw her struggling to come out of the water. He got a good grip on her mane, not letting her fall back further. "I got you, try to come up." He said calmly.
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
Melody tried with a futile effort to get out. She slipped, but caught her balance before she collapsed into the river. The mare stood firm, rooted to the ground. Then, Melody took another few steps, finally getting one hoof onto the grass before one of her hooves slipped again.
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
Lost quickly let go of his grip then regained it, tighter now. He slowly to a large step back, trying to not go to fast because that might cause her to fall. He moved his front legs from, slightly in the shallow of the water to completely out of it and onto the grass.
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
Melody struggled for a while until she managed to get both her front hooves onto the soft grass with the help of the stallion. She couldn't do much, but she tried to stand still enough while the current washed past. Melody could feel the rain drops hitting harder on her back as she fell forward, collapsing onto the grass. It wasn't a very good idea, but she didn't think she had any other choice.
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
Lost let go of his grip then nudged her more out of the strong current of the water. "Are you alright!?" He asked. He was also feeling weaker by the strong rain, almost hail, hitting them harshly. He looked around for any sort of shelter, there was a tall, thick, tree not far off from here.
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
Now Melody felt more like a jinx as she laid there, struggling to get up to her feet. It could have gone all well but here she was, bringing Lost more trouble. She didn't answer Lost, but after a while she stood on all fours, water dripping from her coat and making her drag her feet.
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
Lost frowned then helped keep her steady. "Come on." He urged looking back at the tree, it seemed to be the best thing for shelter at the moment.
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
Melody slowly but surely made her way to the large willow tree, limping and stumbling over puddles of rainwater and small rocks. She felt lesser rain drops falling upon her when she arrived at the shelter of the tree. Melody leaned against the tree trunk to rest.
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
Lost halted once they reached the large tree, it spreaded out over them. Lost slowly lied down, moving to his side not wanting to put too much pressure on his aching legs. He glanced up at Melody with a quiet sigh, When will they not be trouble? If this place didn't work out maybe they could go somewhere even safer like MM.
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
Melody sighed then glanced over at Lost. She recalled the past incidents, then gave another long sigh, then breathed, "Go. Leave."
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
Lost stared at her, surprised and almost couldn't believe it. "What?" He asked taking a step back, confused.
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
Melody rested her head against the tree. "You deserve a better life than this..." she replied calmly. "Besides, if I was meant to live, I will." Melody lowered her head, keeping her glance away from the stallion.
Re: Lost And Melody's Escape.
"My life is perfect here." He said truthfully, he loved the adventure and the thrill...When it didn't go too far. He glanced at Melody, was she just making up excuses for him to leave? Maybe it was too hard to be straight up with him.
