Seldom Stars in Shadow Forest

Seldom Stars galloped through the forest and up a steep hill as fast as she could, she was getting tired quickly but she had to keep going. She could still hear the paws running after her and the continuous growling and snaps of the wolves' jaws. Seldom Stars got to the top of the hill before the wolves managed to catch up and one leapt onto her back, digging in its claw, two clinging onto one front leg and one back leg with their jaws and one barged itself into her, knocking her down. Seldom Stars screamed as the wolf who knocked her down bit into her shoulder and ripped out flesh.

Bloodstain heard a strangled cry from a long distance away and pricked his ears and galloped in the direction, his ears pinned as he saw the incident. Bloodstain wasn't a stallion to mess with or to talk to, he was deadly and dangerous to anything that had a pulse. The angry stallion reared and bared his teeth, landing on the ground with a loud boom. He knocked the wolf off on the mares shoulder with his head and jumped over her, landing on its back, paralyzing it instantly, it only had a few more minutes left of living but he couldn't care less. Bloodstain reared again and killed the remaining wolves who tried to escape and the ones who also clung to the helpless mare and snorted, glancing down at her. He shook his head and jumped over her and galloped into the bushes, vanishing into thin air.

Seldom Stars's breathing was hoarse and she just managed to stand, shaking. She watched as the stallion galloped off then she looked around at the dead wolves. She tried to walk but the pain in her shoulder coursed through her and she crumbled over, onto the ground.

Bloodstain's ears were still pinned and his breathing was incredibly smooth for such action. He could faintly see the perfect outline of the mare he had just rescued and watched her for a moment. Wolf blood clung to his bare legs and dripped gently onto the dewy grass, making it smell awful. He snorted fiercely and started to canter down to the lake. Bloodstain stood sleepily in the water for a while, the crystal blood water now a foggy red color. He exhaled deeply, taking in the new scents around him and snorted, ears slightly pricking.

Seldom snorted in pain and she let her head flop to the ground with a heavy sigh. She wasn't going anywhere any time soon...

Bloodstain knew the mare he had just saved was way too weak to be a loner, she should be in a herd, where she could be helped. If she really wanted to be a loner, she would need to learn to survive the hard way, like he did. Killing almost everything that moved or got in his way. He shook his head with a violent snort and trotted up to the mare, knowing she was awake. Bloodstain was not going to put up with any nonsense or questions from the mare, but he was going to help her. She didn't need to knock anything about him, so he knocked her out. While she was unconscious, he slung her over his back and made his way down to the tropical beach and laid her gently onto the sand and lowered his nose into the water and sipped in a mouthful. Slowly, he waked over and washed her wounds. Bloodstain walked over to a banana tree and grabbed a few large banana leaves and set them down in the shade. He walked over to the mare and put her over his back once again and walked over to the leaves and gently set her down. Bloodstain snorted contently and trotted out back into the forest.

Seldom Stars watched as Bloodstain came towards her. Then suddenly everything went black...when she woke up she was on....banana tree leaves? Her wound was clean but still hurt. She slightly raised her head and looekd around...

Bloodstain snorted and started to graze in the forest, keeping an eye on the mare so she wouldn't find him, that was the whole point of knocking her out. So she didn't know too much about him. The last time another horse ticked him off, he killed them. Not good. Bloodstain swished the flies away with his tail and stomped his hoof.

Seldom Stars sighed and moved so she was laying upright. It hurt her shoulder but she ignored it. She looked around the forest. it was so dark....

Bloodstain noticed the mare looking around and moved into the dark shadows, seeing as he was in the sun and his bright blood bay coat was clean and caught rays of light which made him more noticeable. He really wanted to leave and forget about the mare but she would notice and hear his every movement.

Seldom rested her head on the ground, staring off into space.

Bloodstain started walking silently through the forest, his eyes glued to the mare incase she heard or saw him.

Seldom heard something and she looekd in that direction and saw Bloodstain. She then quickly looekd away....

Bloodstain snorted aggresively, knowing he had been spotted and trotted out of her view and deeper into the forest for some peace and quiet, he thought he earned it after all of the helping.

Seldom eached over and ate the grass around her

As soon as Bloodstain reached his spot, he dropped to the ground and started to roll on his back, letting the sun warm his stomach and he was also letting all the bugs fall out of his coat and the remaining dirt.

Seldom, after a while tried to stand up. she did, but still a little shaky, she tried to walk and could just manage, she was able to get a drink but she took one more step on that leg and she fell to the ground...

Bloodstain heard the mare fall again, he sighed and shook his head. Luckily, she was on sand. If she needed help she would have to find a herd or another horse, he wasn't going to keep knocking her out either.

Seldom sighed heavily and she looekd around. guess she'd wait here for as long as possible untl her wound healed atleast a little bit for she tried to go anywhere.

Something about the mare he had helped made him feel very guilty about leaving her there, but he had always done it without any problems. Bloodstain gritted his teeth and knew he would regret this later, but cantered back to the forest where he could watch the mare.

Seldom rested her head on the ground and tehn heard something but she didn't move...

Bloodstain sighed and appeared out of the trees and once again, flung her over his shoulders and lowered her whole body but her head into the water.

"uh..."Seldom said as he flung her over his body, cringing slightly as the pain coursed through her body. She then gritted her teeth as she felt the water rush over her wound...

Bloodstain snorted and walked along the beach, when he was far enough away he lowered his muzzle into the water and started to sip it gently.

Seldom watched the stallion with a slight sigh, why was he doing this?
