New horse in Town.

Monty walked into the new stables his owner had stabled him at. As he walked slowly down the isle to his stall, he looked into the other stables. Horses were starring at him. He was one of the tallest horses around. Monty snorted. This was normal in a new stable. Horses starring at him. He lowered his head as if to try and hide his head in his owners arm.

Erin Darson - Erin Darson is a 14 year old girl. She has waist-length, dark-brown(so dark, it's mistaken for black hair sometimes) hair. Her style gravitates towards red, black, purple, green and hot pinks, and she's yet to be seen without liberal amounts of black eyeliner surrounding her brown eyes. As crazy as Erin is, she has a sensible streak that usually comes into play in serious situations: she can deal with stress easily. Overall, one may say the girl is insane, what with her star-shaped, shocking lime-green sunglasses and mad war-dances, but she's a loyal friend. Her dad owns 5 major banks and 5 insurance companies and her mum is an equine surgeon in major demand, also, Erin’s mum runs the 11 to 18 year old's international equestrian team, which Erin rides in. Soloaureth(Solo) - Solo is a 4 year old, bay TB mare of 16.3 hands. She has a white sock on her right hind leg, and black hooves. Solo is competed regularly, and has taken Erin to the topmost of the shows. Together, they have excelled in Dressage, Showjumping, Cross Country and Pony Club events( The HOYS, Hickstead, Badminton, ect, point to pointed aswell) Solo is quite fiesty and willing to please, but she doesn't trust anyone, apart from Erin, to ride her.

Alex O'Connor - Alex O'Connor is a 15 year old boy. He has black, messy hair and one hazel eye, one blue one. He competes at a high standard with his black throughbred stallion, Blue Murder. His father is a Barristor and owns several of the worlds' most famous companies, whilst his mother works as co-manager in three major insurance companies. Good friend to Erin.

Blue Murder (Valiant) - Valiant is a 6 year old, black TB stallion of 17.2 hands. He's quite calm, collected and completely the opposite of Solo, whom is very fiery and skittish. Again, he has taken Alex to the top of the show classes, competing in many major events.

Erin placed her sunglasses over her black-framed eyes and entered Solo's spacious stall. The bay mare look up and pricked her velvety ears forwards, her intelligent eyes wide and interested. The girl stroked the filly's glossy and well-muscled neck, talking in the meantime. Solo nuzzled Erin's pocket, Erin batted her away, laughing "There's no treats in there, girly." The bay gave an indignant snort and began to sniff the girl's jeans. Solo tried to burrow her exquisite head in Erin's riding boot. Erin giggled, "Shoo, I don't have anything, my girlie."
She stepped outside the stable, darted into Solo's privet tackroom and skipped back to Solo, who was waiting patiently, her inquisitive eyes surveying all.

As Erik walked Monty into a stall, he saw a beautiful girl with a gorgeous filly. He wondered who they were. Erik felt Monty's nose squish between him and his arm, looking down he muttered "Boy, stop doing that. Its only a new stable" He kissed the massive Clydies forehead and unclipped the lead rope. He noticed that Monty stayed in the back corner of the stall. Erik sighed and stepped outside the stable, looking around for the girl that he saw before. The place was huge. It smelt of sawdust and horses.

Erin brushed Solo's spotless coat with a body brush, then lifted the mare's tailored saddle onto her slender back. The girl buckled the girth loosely, then began to sort out the Cheltenham Gag bit. The filly stood statue-still, her face impassive and her neck arched. Solo opened her mouth obediently and accepted the bit, rolling it around her mouth. Erin accoladed her, patting her neck, "Good girl, Solo."
The girl lead her beautiful mare out of the stable and into the sunlight. Soloaureth's coat glistend and shone; highlighting the copper, crimson and many other shades of red in her coat, whilst her obsidian mane flowed easily in the breeze. Erin darted back into Solo's tackroom and withdrew her personally made helmet. When she returned to her mare's side, she was please to see that Solo was standing square, her neck arched to perfection.
Erin mounted her. Once Solo's girth was secure and tightend, the girl urged the filly to walk. The bay lifted her legs in a high, graceful motion, whilst her head was tucked into her chest. Erin clicked her pierced tongue and directed her towards one of the many outdoor arenas at Fenwood Stables.

Erik saw the girl tacking her filly, going out for a ride. He decided to watch her. Slowly he moved towards the arenas, pretending not to follow this girl. He looked back to Monty's stall. He'll be fine Erik thought to himself. He looked around, finding something to do so he wouldn't look like a stalker. Gravel was crunching under his boots as he walk. The air was fresh and there was a slight breeze. He found himself in front of an outdoor arena where the girl and filly had entered.

Erin talked merrily to Solo as she trotted her down the long side of the sandschool. The filly's trot was graceful and her strides long, the girl stroked her horse's neck, praising her as she executed a perfect piaffe*. Erin sat deeply in the saddle and accepted the dressage movement, then asked Solo for canter in the C-M corner. The filly struck off as soon as Erin applied pressure to her sides. Solo's head stayed on the bit through their warm up and the girl thought her heart would burst with pride at her accomplishment.

Erik realised the girl hadn't seen him as he watched her. He turned his back deciding that he should ride Monty. Some jumping would be good. Erik looked down as he walked away thinking about things that were on his mind. He blocked everything out of his mind so he could think. What if he didn't fit in like the other place? Were the people stuck up? Monty seemed like he didn't like it here already. Maybe it was the 6 hour drive. Things rushed through his mind as he walked to Monty's stall.

Erin trotted Solo through a change of rein, then asked for the spanish walk. Assured that Solo was warmed up, the girl turned her in a 20-metre circle then directed her at the 4 foot cross pole. She collected the filly's trot and asked for a canter, sitting deep in the saddle as she prepared for the take off. Solo lifted her legs and cleared the jump with ease. Erin half-halted the bay, giving her a hasty pat on the neck before turning her towards a 5 foot straight-barred spread. She felt Solo's pace quicken and her mouth come off the bit in excitement, but with a small half-halt on the black leather reins and a calming word from Erin, the filly became collected, tucking her head onti the bit again. Erin whooped and laughed as they cleared the jump, turning towards the rest of the obstacles.

When Eric returned to the stalls, Monty was still in the back corner. "Come here boy" Eric called to Monty but he didn't come. What was up with him. He entered the stall with half an apple in his hand. He held it out for Monty to take. Slowly Monty moved forward and took the apple gently. Eric strode towards where he had placed his tack, grabbing the saddle and bridle he wondered back to the stall. He hung the saddle over the stalls door and stepped inside, leaving the door open. Monty walked towards him to stand near the door waiting to be tacked. Eric slipped the bridle onto Monty's head, Monty accepted the bit fine. As Eric grabbed the saddle, Monty walked outside of the stall to stand where Eric was. He patted the Clydies neck and kissed him "Your a good boy" Slipping the saddle onto the stallions back and tightening the girth. He mounted and gently put pressure on the horses side to make him walk.

For the first time, Erin realised she wasn't alone. Her golden-brown eyes followed the path towards the stables, where she spied a boy and a Clydesdale. The girl trotted her filly out of the jumping arena and dismounted. Solo danced on the spot, half-rearing and snorting with joy. Erin grinned and stroked her horse for behaving brilliantly and began to lead the filly towards the Thoroughbred pastures. She paused, wondering who the strangers were, "Hey, are you new here?"

Eric was focused on Monty when he heard a voice and hoof beats. As he looked up he saw the girl asking him a question. He starred at the beautiful girl before answering. "Umm yes, we just moved hear, my dad is renting out on of the stables" He told the girl, still starring. Monty reared a little when he wasn't ready, he held tight to the reins calming Monty down. "Woah boy" Eric kept murmuring as he patted Monty's neck. Looking back at the girl, he asked "May I ask who you are?"

Erin smiled, giving her filly a swift pat on her muscular shoulder. Solo stood square, her neck arched; nostrils twitching slightly. The girl glanced at Eric, “I’m Erin Darson, I compete on Musca, well I used to, but now Solo is my main priority.” Her horse’s ears pricked towards Erin at the sound of her name, “Solo, remember your manners, please!” The filly lowered her fine head and sunk onto her knees in a bow, before she hurriedly jumped up and nuzzled Erin’s hand. She giggled, handing Soloaureth a slice of apple. The filly lipped the treat happily out of Erin’s hand before pawing the ground, the metallic agony of horseshoes rang through the yard. Erin rubbed her pierced nose, “I’ll need to sign you in before you can ride, allonsy!” She beckoned Eric to follow her into the white-walled office.

Monty wouldn't stay still. Even though he was a giant, he was excited about meeting Solo. He nickered to her. At this Eric patted him on the neck and tightened the reins "Calm down boy. She's just another horse" Eric sighed, maybe he needed the crop again. He didn't know he had to sign in before he rode. He was eager to get out into the jump arena to feel wind in his face. Eric dismounted Monty and looked around to find something to tie him up at. He couldn't trust Monty when he was excited. After Eric tied up Monty he followed Erin in the office. As he stood near her he cleared his throat and said "It's nice to meet you Erin, I'm Eric."

Erin lead Solo and Eric into the office. Its clean white-washed walls gave the place a cool, and modern look. "Stay," Erin said, holding her hand up to her filly. The bay lowered her head a snorted; dark, intelligent eyes following all. The girl picked up a silver fountain pen and fished for a book in one of the desk's drawers. Erin slammed the black leather book into her slender thighs and flipped through the pages, "You're Eric, and your horse is Monty, yes? Mhm, you're here..." She scribbled her signature onto the page and placed the book back in its place. Clapping her hands, the girl smiled at Eric, showing off her perfect line of teeth, "All set, you can ride now!"

Eric studied Erin as she wrote in the book. He didn't take his eyes off her until her voice cut through to him. He tried not to look guilty about starring at her. As he looked away he could feel his cheeks get hot. Eric decided to go then. "Thanks for that" He murmured trying not to look at her but it was hard. He turned and walked away quickly. Once Eric got outside he untied Monty and mounted him. As soon as he was mounted, he kicked Monty's side and cantered away to the indoor jumping arena.

Erin raised an eyebrow and walks out, pleased that Solo was standing still, her ears moving around and her dark eyes watching her. She hugged her filly, "Lets get some jumping done." She urged Solo to walk forwards whilst she adjusted her stirrups and tightened the girth. Finished, the girl directed the bay into the indoor jumping arena and started to work on a left-shoulder-in-trot. She glanced at Eric and Monty, "Don't forget to give Monty a proper warm up; too many people have come to my mother complaining that their horses are lame, when really, it was their fault for not warming their horses up properly." Erin asked Solo for a Spanish Walk. The filly executed a perfect walk, her legs arching high and her delicate head collected upon the bit.

Eric didn't look at Erin as she spoke to him. He couldn't risk it. He put pressure on Monty's side, asking for a walk. Monty walked on. Eric kept Monty to the side of the arena while warming him up. Eric slightly rolled his eyes thinking about what Erin had said. He wasn't that stupid not to warm Monty up. After a while he put more pressure on the colts side, asking for a trot. The trot was graceful like always. It was perfect. Just as he smiled at the perfectness of the trot, Monty kicked out. Eric didn't know why. He tightened the reins, slowing Monty to a walk again. "Stop being silly boy" Eric muttered to Monty.

Erin watched Monty kick out, "Is he okay?" She frowned; perplexed. The girl asked Solo to accept the bit and continued to warm the bay up. She glanced down at the filly's outside shoulder, she was on the right diagonal. Yet her heart wasn't in it: What had made Monty kick out like that? She halted Solo and urged her to rein back. As the bay took a few unsure steps backwards, Erin's brown eyes observed the Clydesdale. He was an exquisite horse with well built legs and an intelligent face in her opinion. The girl's stare met Eric, and hard did she stare.
