April didn't wake up till around 9 am, and when she sat up, she realized that she and Davin were the only one's in the room. Alarm shot through her as she wondered where Kris was. getting up, she left Davin asleep in the room, knowing he could sleep till noon if he was allowed to do so. the red-head made her way to the waiting room and asked the receptionist if she'd seen anyone that looked like Kris come this way. The receptionist nodded and pointed out the door, where April saw Kris sitting against one of the trees in the lawn of the hospital. Making her way outside, she came over to sit down beside her and for a moment the two sat in silence.

it was April that broke that silence. "So.... You ready to go?" She asked. The Question was lame, but it was all April could think of to break the awkward silence.

Kris saw April come and sit beside her in the corner of her eye but ignored her. Though finally after a long moment, April spoke. Kris finally lookedat the redhead and ad shrugged, "yeah, I guess."she replied. She sighed softly and glanced away for a short moment berfore asking, "when'll we be leaving?"

"As soon as Check-out time starts... which is in half an hour." She said, checking her watch as she turned to go back inside. "Come on, we need to go wake up Davin and clean up the mess in the room." She said as she walked away, not checking to make sure Kris was following her or not. She really didn't care, but she needed top go wake Davin up so they could Check Kris out and leave.

Kris sighed as April started walking off. She stood up and followed her without saying a word. She just wanted to leave the hospital asap. The shortly walked into the room and Kris left DAvin to April as she started to clean up everything else in the room, avoiding using her injured fingers.

Davin woke up fairly easily and April helped him get ready for the day after he went to the bathroom, by brushing his hair and handing him a travel toothbrush from her purse. "Here, sweetheart." She said. Davin took it without much complaint, since he was too tired to argue, and went back to the bathroom to brush his teeth. As he did that, April helped Kris clean up the room and when Davin came out again, they were ready to go, and April had Kris hold Davin's hand as they left the hospital and April opened the doors to her car, driving them all home. She and Davin lived in a small 3 bedroom cottage near the ranch that April worked at and their horses were boarded at. It was also conveniently located near the elementary school that Davin attended.

Kris stayed slent the whole time, not daring to say a word. As they came to April's cottage Kris opened the door and got out, holding it open for Davin. She shut it when he climbed out. Kris glanced down the street and saw K.C. Ranch and saw Striker. They must have let him out into the paddock. The stallion reared, pawing the air, the breeze blowing his mane every which way. He landed on the grass and took off in a gallop around the paddock, kicking out and neighing like the mad man he was. Kris chuckled lightly. Same old same old.

It was then that Kris saw a car pulling into the ranch's driveway, a trailer on the back. The car stopped and everyone came out. The man in the car opened the door and jumped out then unlatched the trailer. He opened it and then walked inside. A shrill, stubborn whinny suddenly came from the trailer and the man came out, only the lead showing. It was taut and his facial espression was strained. The horse was fighting against him. Eventually though, the horse came out with a fight, rearing as soon as she was out. She pulled the man forward and he stumbled with a yelp of surprise. The bay mare's features were dished, petite and yet strong. Her tail flagged stubbornly and her hooves lashed out. Seh threw her head around with a neigh and then landed, the people pulling in her halter to keep her on all fours. Though she was small it was obvious the mare wasn't as weak as she ooked. The Arab snorted and pawed the ground roughly. Her tail twitched in aggitation. suddenly Striker whinnied and the mare stood completely still. Slowly, she looked towards him, her flattened ears suddenly forward forward and she nickered loudly towards him. "Finally, "Kris breathed, "she's here."

However, scotty was the one to answer her first. The sabino chestnut gelding trotted over to the fence, his head high and his tail held up like a silk banner behind him. His sides contracted as he raised his upper lip and let out a loud, inviting whinny. His dark eyes took in her body. She looked just like him. He'd seen other Arabians, but none as beautiful as her. His forelock fell into his eyes in a casual, messy flick of his head and he looked even more handsome. He still smelled like a stallion, even though he wasn't, because of that one testicle that was twisted up in his gut somewhere. It didn't hurt him, it had just never dropped when he was a colt, and it probably wouldn't ever. It just made him an infertile stud.

April came to see what Kris was looking at and gave a low whistle as she watched the mare being unloaded. "Pretty, but she looks like a real handful. Is she here to breed with Striker?" She asked, looking at Kris before Scotty's behavior got her attention and she laughed. "Poor guy. He's a proud gelding, so he still acts like a stud, but only when he see's a strange mare." She giggled.

Kris watched Scotty with an amusement expression. She then heard April come up beside her and she gave her a sidelong glance before looking back at the bay mare, as April spoke. Kris' mouth twitched in a peaceful smile and she shrugged, "I was thinking of breeding her with him, but i'm not too sure. I'm thinking of findng a different stallion for her. Last one she had with Striker she lost it and although It wasn't anyone's fault I don't want to take another chance of losing another incase in was him. Not sure yet. She had been staying with my father. When I had come out of prison I could only manage to take Striker back but after a ong...and ratehr brutal fight with him I won her back. Her name's Ballet,"Kris looked back at April and said, "yeah she can be quite a handful..."she fell silent for a moment before looking back at Ballet, "I was, uh, wondering if you could help me to find a suitable stallion for her..?"she trailed off and glanced back at April.

Ballet heard Scotty and she looked over at him. She nickered back in greeting, her eyes alight when suddenly the people pulled on her halter and lead, trying to lead her to the stables. Ballet's ears flicked back and although there were so many people holding her down she reared, even managing to lift one person off she ground. Her hooves lashed out and the people managed to dodge them. Someone's hands gripped the front and back of the neck and pushed her to the ground. Ballet snorted in dislike.

"Huh. Well if only Scotty was still a stallion. He'd be perfect... He was stolen from the breeding farm he was born at, but he was a stud then. The guy that stole him got caught though, and Scotty hadn't been old enough for that breeding farm to brand him, so no one was able to lay claim to him and he was put up for adoption. That's how me and Davin were able to grab him. We didn't know much about his bloodlines until I got him blood tested. We found out he's sired by Khemosabi. His mother is still unknown. She wasn't registered, so we have no idea what half of his bloodlines are." April said, watching as Scotty trotted after her for as long as the fence allowed and stretched his neck out after her.

When she was thrown to the ground by one of the men, April raised an eyebrow. "You want to go down after breakfast?" The red-head asked before she turned back to the kitchen and started to get out the eggs and the loaf of bread. She then spent some time attempting to extract a frying pan from the dish washer.

Kris sighed as she watched them and then she nodded to April's question. She cast a glance over at Scotty then at Striker before she trned and followed April inside. Once breakfast was made, which Kris had instisted on helping with, they all made their way to the ranch. Ballet was closer to the stables yet she still wasn't in. Such a hassle of a mare. She was a good horse to ride once she actually starting to listen to you. Kris glanced at the ground and then looked back at Ballet. She wasn't sure if she could still calm this mare down. She hadn't seen her for a long time. Kris walked towards her and grabbed the lead. She shooed the people away though they stayed close. As Ballet reared again, before her hooves managed to get too far off the ground, and her head too high, Kri's hand shot out and grabbed the bay mare's ear. Although she could seriously injure the mare, Ballet wasn't stupid enough to go that far. The mare came back to all fours and Kris grabbed the front of the halter in one hand, letting go of the lead she stroked the mare's nose, cheek and ran a hand lightly down her neck. She mare nickered lightly and Kris grabbed the lead again and slowly made her way towards the stables. At times the mare would try to same thing but Kris did the exact same thing over and over again. Eventually, the mare got in the stables and she put her into Striker's stall. The mare was originally going to stay at the other ranch but now she worked here. the two would have to share the stable. One in the stall the other in the paddock.

Ballet snorted as she came into the stable and she shook her whole body off, dust and dirt flying off of her in a cloud. She mare sneezed and then snorted, pawing the ground. She turned around and walekd over to the stall door, chest pressed against it and she reached out towards Davin and nudged him lightly. Though she hated most humans Ballet was a sucker young kids. And a few humans. She just hated being led around like a circus pony. Ballet suddenly licked Davin's cheek and then pulled her head back and nickered in laughter. As one man tried to come closer though, thinking she was safe now, Ballet pinned her ears and snapped at him, her front hooves suddenly striking the stall door.

Davin laughed as he was licked and tried to come closer to the stall door. "Pony. pony..." He was saying. April grabbed her son by the arm to stop him when the horse kicked at the door. She seemed to think for a moment, and looked at Kris. "You want to put her and Scotty in the same paddock when I'm done brushing him down?" She suggested. "It'd be fun to watch them together." The red head walked over to Scotty's stall door and collected his halter and lead rope before she went off to get him. Davin stayed with Kris in order to bother her with his cute boy-ish charm.

As she was grooming Scotty down, April thought he was acting weird. It was as if his "fake stallion" tendencies were coming out in him more. She calmed him down alright, but it was still annoying, because he kept acting up a little. Standing up after cleaning out his last hoof, she frowned a little and looked Scotty in the face. "What's the matter, boy? What's up?" A sliver of a doubt flickered through her mind, so April felt down his side and in between his back legs. A laugh escaped her lips. "That would explain a lot. Hey Kris, guess what? We've got ourselves a stud. His other ball dropped. I don't know how long it's been down there, I haven't checked since we got him, but if you would like to breed her with Scotty, we can put them in the same paddock together and see what happens." She suggested, shrugging.

Kris looked down at Davin and merely grinned at him. Turning to Ballet, she pulled a small slice of carrot she had in her back pocket and offered it to Ballet. The Arab reached out and took it surprisingly gently from Kris's hand and ate it, her muzzle brushing the girl's hand softly. Kris smiled and ran a hand through the arab's silky mane and looked over at Scotty and April as the redhead started to groom him. Ruffling Davin's hair, Kris was startled by April's sudden laugh and she looked over at her again as the woman spoke. What she said surprised her. With Scotty now fertile, she could breed Ballet to him and get a gorgeous foal. Though there was also the chance of a still born and all different things. The chance was one Kris was willing to take. She knew how much Ballet loved foals, even other mares' foals.

Kris smiled at April and then nodded, "That'd be a good idea. Do you want anything in return?" she asked. Clipping the lead back onto Ballet's halter, she led her out of the stall and barn without a problem, but then once she was in the sunlight, she hassle started. Though, the mare didn't act up as much as before, she still fought against Kris. The girl led her to the paddock, ignoring Striker's calls to Ballet. Leading the mare to the paddock after a few fights, she let the mare run free in the paddock, shutting the gate behind her. She watched the mare for a moment, before grabbing Striker quickly and leading him back to his stall. Locking him in it, ?Kris walked over to April and Scotty.

April finished up with making Scotty look presentable and then began to lead him towards the paddock that Ballet was now running free in. She opened the gate and undid his halter to let him run off towards Ballet and closed the gate as she left to sit on the fence and watch them. Scotty pranced towards her with a greeting whinny and tried to get her attention in anyway he possibly could. He was kicking up his heels and showing off his flashy colors.

April helped Davin up onto the fence so that they could watch him together, then she looked at Kris. "You don't have to give me anything, it'll be fun to see Scotty's foal." She said, shrugging. "besides, giving him a girlfriend is good enough."

Kris laughed softly at April's last comment and nodded softly, "okay," she said softly and then sat on the fence and watched the stallion and mare. "I'd like to see their foal, too," Kris said, glancing at Davin and April.

Ballet heard the stallion's call but ignored him at first. Coat gleaming in the sunlight and tail flagged, she cantered gracefully through the paddock. Scotty's flashy antics and gorgeous colours finally caught her attention and she slowed to a halt and looked at him. Watching him for a while, Ballet decided that he was a worthy stallion and she nickered kindly, trotting over to him. Steps high, tail flagged and mane caressing her neck in the gentle breeze.
